Participatory budget
I have ideas for my collectivity !
A participatory process is a sequence of participatory activities (e.g. first filling out a survey, then making proposals, discussing them in face-to-face or virtual meetings, and finally prioritizing them) with the aim of defining and making a decision on a specific topic.
Examples of participatory processes are: a process of electing committee members (where candidatures are first presented, then debated and finally a candidacy is chosen), participatory budgets (where proposals are made, valued economically and voted on with the money available), a strategic planning process, the collaborative drafting of a regulation or norm, the design of an urban space or the production of a public policy plan.
This space is a consultation model dedicated to the realization of a participatory budget.
If you want to know more about how to organize a participatory budget using a digital platform (External link), follow this link (External link).
On this page presenting the process, you can welcome citizens and guide them in their participation by gathering essential information (context, calendar, criteria).
Some concrete examples :
The participatory budgets of the city of Angers: 2019 edition (External link) & 2020 edition (External link) (150 000 inhabitants).
The participatory budget of Saint-Jean de Braye (External link) (less than 25 000 inhabitants).

Let's participative to the Participatory budget !
How does the participatory budget work?
From March 1, 2022 to March 5, 2025, you can submit your investment proposals on this platform to improve the living environment in the area. For example, this concerns development or construction work, or the purchase of large equipment or furniture. Ideas that require significant operating costs: recruitment of employees, payment of subsidies, call for service providers, etc. are not eligible.
Your ideas remain yours at all stages of the participatory budget. They will need you to refine them, make them more precise, make them feasible, put them to the vote and implement them. You should therefore plan to devote some time to them.
Who can participate?
Residents, from 11 years old, can submit up to 3 ideas by registering on this platform. Ideas can be submitted by citizens or groups until March 1, 2025.
Find all the steps of the participatory budget, from the submission of your idea to the implementation of the winning projects by clicking on "See the steps" in the banner above.
Ready to vote?
During the voting phase, you will be able to find the catalog of projects submitted for voting. You can select your 5 favorite projects and vote online from March 1, 2022 to July 2, 2025.
What happens next?
The projects that receive the most votes will be implemented by the community within two years.
